TMI Tacoma is my peer group. I would be lost without it! If I had no one to talk to about the experiences I have had thanks to TMI, my brain would explode.

If you are reading this, your life has been affected for the better—possibly even transformed, as mine was—through your experience with The Monroe Institute. Therefore, first, let me introduce you to a world of like-minded and like-spirited people who are eager to dig deeper into the truth that is TMI’s basic premise: You are more than your physical body. And, second, let me assure you that you can participate with other Monroe consciousness explorers in that deep digging wherever you are on the planet!

The Monroe Institute’s Local Chapter Network (LCN) started back in 2008 as an idea that by 2009 had become a reality. Paul Rademacher, then executive director of the Institute, threw his whole-hearted support behind the creation of this outreach effort after traveling around the US and Canada connecting with Institute enthusiasts. During his travels he asked TMI graduates what they needed most from TMI. The resounding response was ongoing support once people returned home after attending a TMI program. The LCN stepped up to fill that need.

“Many folks tell me they are relieved to finally be able to share their experiences with like-minded folks, people who not only understand but have had similar experiences. They are usually relieved to discover they are not crazy. And they are pleased to find other explorers who have trodden the path and can offer help.”

The LCN’s mission is to establish independent local communities that provide free continuing support for program graduates as they integrate their TMI experiences and continue their exploration of consciousness. The LCN is also a point of contact for individuals wishing to learn more about TMI, its programs, technologies, and the profound benefits of consciousness exploration.

The global Local Chapter Network currently consists of approximately 60 local chapters located in the Americas and Europe. There are approximately 2,500 members with over 500 individuals attending monthly Local Chapter meetings.

Jane Coleman, an LCN leader in Texas, says—

“I really enjoy leading the Dallas Local Chapter. Many folks tell me they are relieved to finally be able to share their experiences with like-minded folks, people who not only understand but have had similar experiences. They are usually relieved to discover they are not crazy. And they are pleased to find other explorers who have trodden the path and can offer help.

Personally, I’m especially glad to have others to do Monroe exercises with. I’ve found that using Hemi-Sync in a group is especially powerful. Wonderful things seem to happen when we get together to practice our work.”

The LCN is a completely volunteer-based organization headed up by the LCN Leadership Council that meets monthly and hosts quarterly teleconferences for Local Chapter leaders.

The global Local Chapter Network currently consists of approximately 60 local chapters located in the Americas and Europe. There are approximately 2,500 members with over 500 individuals attending monthly Local Chapter meetings. We have a support structure in place to facilitate the creation of local chapters in Asia, Oceania, and virtually anywhere on the planet!

Having friends around the world has changed my life. There’s something magical about that.

Local Chapter leader Deryn Winchester’s words speak for many members of the LCN community—

“As a TMI program trainer I see people opening up, bonding with fellow participants. As a Local Chapter leader I can offer that same opportunity to people at the community level. My favorite role in the LCN is assisting someone who wants to be a Chapter leader to start a new chapter, to connect them with other Chapter leaders. Having friends around the world has changed my life. There’s something magical about that.”

Local Chapter meetings are free, open to all, and are usually 2 to 3 hours in length. Hosted and facilitated by Chapter leaders, a typical meeting includes catching up on the latest news from TMI, doing Hemi-Sync® and SAM audio exercises, and sharing experiences. Some chapters invite guest speakers to present both in person and through video conferencing online.

Beth Haley ran the Local Chapter in Calgary, Alberta, for almost 8 years. Several committed members attended every week—

Each of the members still keeps in touch with me via text message. We became like family …

One member lost her husband during the time she was attending meetings. Being part of our group assisted her grieving process. She said that she would not have made it through the ordeal without the skills and support she received from all of us.

At one meeting we had an angel show up and talk to all of us in the form of a man ... We only figured out he was an angel as he walked out the front door and disappeared.

Coming up—the possibility of hosting virtual chapter meetings!

The online format is particularly well suited to people far removed from a local chapter or who are simply unable to physically attend meetings. This is a work in progress. If you would be interested in learning more, please contact us at tmilcnglobal@gmail.com.

Chapter leader James in Tacoma, Washington, nails it—

TMI Tacoma is my peer group. I would be lost without it! If I had no one to talk to about the experiences I have had thanks to TMI, my brain would explode.

Clifford "Tip" Walker

Monroe Residential Trainer

Tip has had a deep interest in metaphysics and the field of human potential since his early twenties. He started with Transcendental Meditation (TM) his senior year in college. Then, as a post-grad student at a Japanese university, he became a member of a Buddhist/Shinto religious organization. This intense experience challenged many of his long-held beliefs and opened him up to a greatly expanded concept of reality. He continues to have an interest in a range of esoteric teachings. In addition to serving as a Residential, Outreach, and Guest Trainer, Tip is a member of the Monroe Professional Division.
