Roberto lives in Toronto and has been working for many years as a computer programmer/analyst and IT consultant in Brazil (his home country) and in Canada. Too many decades being a pure materialist – a radically logical and left-brain person.

But he was always very curious about "how things work" and had all the big questions inside him, like: "what is the meaning of life?", "what does it mean to be conscious/aware/enlightened?", "what happens after we die?" As a hacker, what can be more instigating than hacking the ultimate hardware and software (the human body and mind)?

Personal life events led him to decide it was time to really start searching for the answers.  Different types of meditation gave him some answers. But that led to more questions, and along the way he explored other areas skimming through Theosophy, Kabbalah, Hermeticism, Rosicrucianism, The Law of One, The Monroe Explorer Series, Hemi-Sync, Remote Viewing, Lucid Dreaming, breathwork, parapsychology, quantum physics, tons of synchronicities and especially "messages received through songs in his dreams".

All of this pointed to the facts that “we are more than our physical bodies”, that “we can read many books and listen to many people, but we need to experience things for ourselves”. And that we should replace some beliefs with “knowing”. This is when he re-read Robert Monroe's books, attended some residential programs at the Monroe Institute and all the fun began.
